- Hi. I've used powwow just once, but I do chat in chatrooms. I'm a regular
at the Yahoo Computer Lobby 1 chat room, so I understand why powwow
shouldn't be closed down. Chat rooms are the only place some of us, myself
included, can relax and chat about our everyday problems. This is the only
way we can keep in touch with our friends who live in far off place. If
powwow is closed down, we will lose some very close friendships. Even if you
have to charge a small fee for the use of powwow, I'm sure many of us won't
mind paying for it. Please reconsider your decision to close powwow. Thanks

- I will join with others who have signed this petition to keep Pow Wow up
and going. I have made wonderful friends from all over the world via
this program. I am saddened that communication with them will be

around to sign in hopes of helping Pow Wow. Was gonna do one myself
but figured to just use the one already out so to try and keep the
signatures together. They say the stock on this program is
down badly. . . that it's no good to the company. . cause it makes them no
money . . . alright I got those two things. Then why on Earth
even place a chat program out there for free usage of the people? Why
bring together people from around the world. . only to tear them apart.

For some it has been there home for longer.. or shorter. . .
But, they all love the program and want it to stay! I have seen
friends get married, have there first child or have another child, heard
there saddness, there happiness, even unfortunately seen some pass on from
this life.. . it is more than a chat program . . why can you not see that???
ok, I just heard that your going to start a new chat program. . .but, have
it subscribtion only. . .ok fine.. . you can no longer afford to keep one
running for free. . we got that. . why not offer the users of the program
you already have. . which has faithful users. . from 1year. . up to 5 years
of usage for some people. .why not offer those people the choice to keep Pow
Wow running if they are willing to subscribe for it????

people, of all races,religions and persuasions. A"home from home"
to what is thought of "normal people" whatever normal means but,
there are many disaffected, disenfranchised,displaced,dysfunctional dismayed
and,lastly but not least,the housebound, the bedbound, the shy, the
inarticulate(orally), the lonely, the shy etc.The list is endless.There is
,to my mind,more than money involved in programmes like Pow Wow ,there is a
moral obligation to the all who use it (Pow Wow).to close PW after all
this time is,in my view,
unjust,unacceptable,unconsciencable and lastly , unabashed dictatorship;the
unacceptble face of CAPITOLISM.Please open your minds and leave POW WOW
open.

- I think Pow's a good thing and should be kept open. A couple years
ago I had an accident and broke my heal. I could not drive and was
stuck in my house for months. Had it not been for the people I had to
talk to in Pow, I'm sure I would have gone slightly crazy.
